Jaimie + David: a repost (just because I love this video)

I am so very fortunate to have had the pleasure of shooting the video for Jamie and David's Wedding. This is one of those times where all I had to do was to get the camera rolling... Jamie and David just had to be themselves... and themselves they did.

Sony Diaries #910: why it is the way it is

There are 12 little plants in this bunch that had to be planted, nourished, hand-picked by cheap (migrant, probably) labour, and shipped 5,000 km from farm to a heaping cornucopia of green goodness at our local No Frills. And all this for 99 Canadian cents (devalued down to 65 cents US)!
And we wonder why our planet is the way it is.

Sony Diaries #897: John from Alice Street

While out for a drive in the early evening of New Year's Day, Ben and I decided to look around The Ward to see who was out-and-about on this damp and cold night. Not to my surprise, 176 Alice Street shone like a beacon in it's latest incarnation (my apologies to theologists). I had blogged on 176 Alice Street before, and it's good to know that it hasn't lost its character. John came out to say hello, and we both agreed to keep in touch.
