All of photography is just a matter of capturing light with the right combination of aperture, shutterspeed, and film/sensor sensitivity (also known as ISO). When you have a firm handle (grip?) on these 3 things, you will be able to express your artistic vision clearly.
I suggest you take fewer pictures with your cellphone, and more photos with a small camera with manual controls (it will also have automatic controls but try not to use automatic, as much as manual controls). Play around with aperture, shutter speed, and ISO combinations. Either google what these 3 things are, do one of the Domestika courses, or any of the othger online courses.
Cellphones are designed to take technically good photos. The problem comes when you want to express your ideas in photos and your cellphone keeps trying to make it look technically average, Using a regular camera manually will allow you to express yourself.
Don't get a fancy camera; something small enough to carry in your pocket. I get most of my cameras on Kijiji or FB Marketplace. Any 10-year old camera will do. Finally, get familair with the photographers from years past, before the advent of digital photography (pre-2000).
Every photographer has something unique to express in photos. Knowing the basics will enable you to do this.
