Milkweeds

Milkweeds are like snowflakes and air bubbles trapped in ice. No two are alike. In addition, one milkweed pod alone is worth a few images when looked at from different angles and various photoshop techniques. In the fall and winter, the leafless milkweed with its burst and dried pods is very organic, resembling/echoing other forms in nature. The delicate filament-like hairs known as silk or floss is a dramatic contrast to the rough textured pod exterior. Milkweeds, found in forest clearings and open fields,  provide for endless hours of fascination, on the spot and later on as digital captures.
