Sony Diaries #1017: The power of the Minolta 50F1.7

The Minolta 50F1.7 is a lens for the Minolta Maxxum system, manufactured in the thousands starting in 1985. It is a very small, compact lens, built to specifications typical of more expensive lenses. As a kit lens, it came almost as a "free" bonus with the purchase of a Minolta body. Below are some sample photos taken with this lens. Pay attention to the left and right edges, which typically soften up in comparison to the centre of the image.
