One of the defining features of the Sony DSLR system is it's use of the Minolta mount. For this reason, Sony users can avail themselves of the tens of thousands of well-made, optically-superb Minolta lenses. I have the Minolta 50f2.8, my third copy (another copy wore out, an f3.5 version is too dark to focus). This is a really, really sharp lens, as shown by these photos of Uber.
